About the Institute

The Interschool Leadership Institute (ILI) is a program designed to support the next generation of leaders of color in independent schools.  While parts of the institute will be dedicated to the nuts-and-bolts of managing and leading, the bulk of our work will be engaging in dialogue with each other and experts in fields of education, psychology, and organizational leadership to better understand ourselves in our relationships to others in the workplace.  These social and emotional competencies are the key to transformational leadership.  Our goal at ILI is to provide the education, resources, and connections that will make participants more effective at enhancing the experience of the work environment for themselves as well as their students, parents, and colleagues.
